Alexa Conomos, formerly of WFAA-TV Channel 8, where she recently wrapped up her broadcast career as the anchor of the Emmy award-winning News 8 Daybreak, will be pulling up a chair to this year’s celebrity judge’s table at the Fifth Annual Dallas Kosher BBQ Championship. The family-friendly event, offering free admission and free parking, will take place on Sunday, October 27th.
Alexa has been proud to call North Texas home for almost 20 years, having come to Dallas in 2001 to join the news scene. She continues to work as a multi-media Journalist, including podcast producing and hosting, media coaching, and content creations. She is also a licensed realtor in the luxury real estate market and integrates her journalism background by producing and hosting competing video stories to sell her clients’ homes. Alexa is the mother of three and her family also is the proud owner of the award-winning restaurants Rapscallion, Boulevardier, Hillside Tavern, and Veritas Wine Room.

The Dallas Kosher BBQ Championship is presented to the community by the Men’s Club of Congregation Beth Torah and will be held on Sunday, October 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free; food and beverages will be available for purchase.
The event is conducted under the supervision of Dallas Kosher and the world-renowned Kansas City Barbeque Society. Teams from Texas and beyond will compete for cash and prizes in the Sunnyland Patio Furniture Shopping Center, at the intersection of Spring Valley and Coit roads, and benefits Congregation Beth Torah Men’s Club, Jewish Family Service Dallas (www.jfsdallas.org), and the American Red Cross.
