Lockhart Smokehouse’s Jill Grobowsky Bergus
To join Celebrity Judging Panel at
The Third Annual Dallas Kosher BBQ Championship
Jill Grobowsky Bergus, one of the owners of Lockhart Smokehouse, will be a Celebrity Judge at the Third Annual Dallas Kosher BBQ Championship. The family-friendly event, offering free admission and free parking, will take place on Sunday, October 29th.
Jill was born into barbecue royalty. She’s the granddaughter of legendary Kreuz Market restauranteur Edgar “Papa” Schmidt. After graduating from Austin College, she decided to bring the traditions and flavors of Kreuz Market to the residents of DFW. She and her husband joined Tim McLaughlin to open the first Lockhart Smokehouse in the Bishop Arts District. The Plano restaurant followed in 2014 and a third location will soon open near the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
