This year we are pleased to have the Plano Symphony Orchestra’s “Instrument Petting Zoo” as a part of the Kid’s Zone at the Fourth Annual Dallas Kosher BBQ Championship. The family friendly event will take place form 11 AM – 4 PM on Sunday, October 28th.
The Plano Symphony Orchestra was established in 1983 and touches the lives of over 190,000 people annually. Up to 40,000 of those who they reach are children through their various educational programs. The mission of the Plano Symphony is “to inspire, educate, entertain and involve the children, youth and adults of our community in the enjoyment of great music.”
One of the programs to reach youth is their “Instrument Petting Zoo” – a collection of orchestral instruments whose cases have been painted to look like different animals. The “zoo” gives kids the chance to see, hear, and even play different instruments.
